Looks like there will be no wedding bells for the music legend Aretha Franklin and her longtime boyfriend. The two have really been in the public eye lately since all the excitement of their engagement two weeks ago. Contrary to all the great things Aretha had to say about him, how he gives her special attention, she thinks their very compatible and the support he provides in things she does, a statement released Monday by her representative saying Franklin’s wedding to Willie Wilkerson wasn’t going to happen.

With all these celebrity divorces taking place in 2012 maybe Aretha has the right idea, or maybe she just has cold feet. Who knows but regardless of if the marriage takes place or not, we hope they continue to stay together! Best of wishes guys!
