Taylor Swift surprised fans by taking an unexpected turn with her latest music video. The song was written as part of the forthcoming “Hunger Games” soundtrack and is less upbeat than her previous hits. Taylor left behind her glossy, glamorous side for the new song and video.

“I had this title that I had been working with called ‘Safe & Sound,’ and I just knew that I wanted it to deal with the empathy, sort of the more sensitive side, the bittersweet side of this story, never imagining that this would ever be picked for a single, ’cause it’s a lullaby,” she said in an interview with MTV.
